Do we value life?

Shanty Towns

Which leads me to the real question — how do we come to a place where we value our own lives and the environment we live in?

This isn’t a question about the wealthy giving to the poor.  It’s a question about how each of us feels empowered to make positive changes ourselves, whatever our resources.

I have no answers, and it seems that it will certainly take many, many years of social, spiritual, and psychological evolution before human beings actually start living like human beings.  Science is definitely not the place to look for answers in this case.
